The Doctor's Visit

I am officially nine weeks along today. To celebrate, I had my first doctor's visit. I was excited and nervous. It's no secret that I want twins. Well, for the last week, I've had a very strong feeling that I was either going to have one baby or four babies in my belly. Nothing in between. I was on Clomid to boost my progesterone levels when I got pregnant and Clomid increases your chance of multiple births. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm part cat, so I figured it was time to do a little praying. I said, "Heavenly Father, you know my situation better than anyone. We're not the richest. We live in an apartment. I'm not Miss Super High Energy. I hate being sick and not to mention, I have a relatively tiny body. That being said, I trust you and I know you'll give us exactly what we can handle right now."

When the doctor pulled the picture onto the screen and I saw one tiny little baby, I knew in my heart it was the perfect number for us right now. Baby Bear's heart rate was 178 beats per minute. The head is on the left of the picture and Bear and the doctor can make out an arm and a leg. It all looks like one big blob to me, but I've never been able to make out anything on ultra sound photos, even when they are further along. The doctor said all was well and confirmed the due date as January 1st. (Just like Dad)

A Letter

To Whom it May Concern,

I clearly remember checking the no morning sickness box on my pregnancy request form. I okayed the following in exchange: drug-free delivery, frequent bathroom breaks, strange cravings, mood swings, hot flashes and interrupted sleep.

Since our terms have been broken, I now request the following amendments: pain-free delivery, record quick return to pre-pregnancy weight and a healthy baby who automatically sleeps nine hours a night.

Please note, I am willing to stick with our original agreement, if all nausea and vomiting ceases and desists from this point.

Sincerely,

Lillith Bear

P.S. Why nine hours you ask? Because I am an actor and we just don't do well off of eight.

28 Is Great

Who: Jessica Lynn Fields
What: Birthday
When: May 14th
Where: Wherever you are.
Why: Because she's the best sister ever to exist!

Right now the pot of poisonous stew in my belly is at a simmer, instead of a rolling boil, so I thought I'd take a quick second to post a birthday message to my sweet little sister. Her birthday is not till tomorrow, but I worried if I waited, my brief window of opportunity would close and her birthday post would go the way of my awesome Mother's Day post. What Mother's Day post you ask... exactly!

5 Reasons I Love My Sister Today
1. She sends me cute Mother's Day packages in the mail.
2. She looks for apartments for me, while I'm too sick to get on the computer.
3. She lets me know the word I was looking for is "voila"not"walla", but does it in a nice way, so I don't feel stupid.
4. She is my go to person in any political debate and her treasure trove of knowledge makes me come across smarter and more informed than I am.
5. She names the mice in her apartment and spends hours setting them free, when exterminators set glue traps for them. Thank goodness for Vaseline and Q-tips.

Happy Birthday Jessica-I Love You!

My First Baby

He started out so unbelievably tiny.

Now he is 23 pounds of love, biting and more love.

Happy Birthday Noodle. I can't believe you are four years old. Every night I thank my Heavenly Father for the pure joy and laughter you have brought to our family. Please remember our deal. I'll keep giving you a double dose of wet food, if you live to be 80 in people years. It's only fair. I love you and Dad loves you, but I love you the most.
