Election Day

Well actually we voted a couple weeks ago, but hesitated to post anything political on our blog. After all, blogs are for happiness and butterflies, as we previously stated and politics is anything but. However, on Election Day, I feel safe posting a few reasons why I voted.

To honor the women who were jailed and beaten, declared insane and SUFFERED so I could vote.

To say thank you to those who founded our country and to those who defend it today.

To lend my voice to those who don't have their own.

Like this little guy.

Or this sweet little girl.

Because I believe strong families make a strong nation.

And when I make a Pledge, I mean every word.
Remember to be the change you want in the world. No candidate has the power to make you happy. Only you can do that for yourself.

Now back to the BUTTERFLIES...

That is a beautiful "Vote today" page. I wish I had read it BEFORE I talked to your Father. Oh well. Funny how a candidate can't make you happy, but they seem to have the power to make you unhappy.

Mom... they don't have the power to make you unhappy either. Remember that tonight... no matter what happens.
