My Word For 2009

Apparently a list of resolutions is sooo 2008. Now you only have to pick one word. Maybe this way I'll be more successful. Maybe not. I'm picking a really hard word for me.

Drum roll please.

My word for 2009 is... ENERGY!!!

And not the artificial, short-lived kind of energy that comes in a can, but the boundless energy that comes from sleeping at appropriate times, eating some vegetables, getting a little vitamin D from the sun and most importantly being enthusiastic about all that you do.

The people that know me are now laughing hysterically that I would torture myself by choosing this word. Up till now it has been my nemesis and people like Melanie and Candice, whose wells of energy are always bubbling over, have been a mystery to me... But that is all over now! I am literally doing jumping jacks as I write this post.

Or maybe I just want to win a necklace from Tip Junkie?

A word seems so much easier to think of than a whole list of resolutions...at first. Now I'm wondering what I did to myself!! :)

And really, the necklace is way cute!

I love the one word idea...after seeing you run and run and run in your movie (which I want to see in its entirety), I would say that you are practically there.

It is a funny thing, I used to pray to have less energy. "Quiet Dignity" were my exact words. I used to get a little too excited about things.

Moderation in everything.

follow-through

No one said I couldn't use a hyphenated word. There just wasn't another single word that had the exact meaning.

All the energy in the world (which I only sometimes have) doesn't complete all my ideas and started projects.

So.. even though I don't hyphenate my name, my word for the year will be the hyphenated word

FOLLOW-THROUGH !!
